Frequently Asked Questions

How big are your vehicles ?

At present we only have one vehicle which is a Ford Grand Tourneo Connect. This vehicle can accomodate a maximum of 3 passengers aswell as one seated wheelchair user

Can you accomodate Electric Wheelchairs and Scooters ?

Yes our vehicle has a lowered floor and there is plenty of space for an electric wheelchair. If the chair is very big we way however only be able to accomodate one passenger aswell as the seated wheelchair user.

If I needed assistance on a trip how would that work ?

If you would like to have someone accompany you on a trip to the shops, a medical appointment or round the Metro Centre extra its no problem and we coukld help with a male or female DBS checked assistant, the price for this would be £20/hour

Why do you have call out charges ?

As we charge Durham County Council Taxi meter prices for all journeys unfortionatly some trips are simply not economically viable for us to complete without a call out charge. Durham County covers a large area and we are based in Durham City Centre, If you wanted to go from Barnard Castle to Raby Castle for a wedding we would have more 'dead' miles than live ones meaning we would be out of pocket on the job if we only charged the meter price.

“I recently travelled with Stuart from Durham to South Sheilds for a Dentist appointment, on arrival to South Shileds we enquired about the possibility of going for fish and chips before returning to Durham, luckily this could be accomodated and we had a fantasic  afternoon. I'll definatly be booking Stuart again"
